Terms of Service
1. About This Service
Unsubscribetool (available at unsubscribetool.com) is an informational and navigation service that helps consumers understand and complete subscription cancellations. The service includes:
Data controller. The data controller for this service is Liu Xudong ("we"). Privacy-related requests should be sent to privacy@unsubscribetool.com.
- Cancellation Guides.A database of step-by-step cancellation guides covering 203 subscription services. Each guide includes a six-axis "Cancellation Friction Score" calculated using a publicly documented formula, so you can see in advance how difficult a provider makes it to cancel.
- Multilingual Content.Content is published in English and Chinese — roughly 900 pages across both languages.
- Public API.Free, registration-free endpoints (such as POST /api/v1/request-service for submitting inclusion requests) that return cancellation guidance programmatically.
- Cancellation Packs (paid).Optional one-time digital content packages described in Section 5 below.
2. No Accounts, No Registration
The service is not provided on an account basis. You never register for an account and never log in. We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal identifying information to use the free guides or the public API. Any list of services you choose to save is stored locally in your own browser (see our Privacy Policy) and never leaves your device.
3. Eligibility
The service is for a general audience. You must be at least 13 years old to use it; if you are in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, you must be at least 16. If you are below that age, please do not use the service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children — see our Privacy Policy.
4. Information Provided "As Is"; Not Professional Advice
All content on Unsubscribetool — including guides, friction scores, API responses, and Cancellation Pack materials — is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Our content is general information only. It does not constitute legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Cancellation policies, fees, and procedures change frequently; always confirm current requirements directly with the relevant service provider before acting on any information from this site.
5. Third-Party Trademarks and Service Names
This site references third-party services such as Netflix, Adobe, and others solely to identify them as subjects of cancellation guidance. Such references are nominative fair use for identification purposes only. Unsubscribetool is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or partner to any of these companies, and none of them endorse this site.
Cancellation steps, retention offers, refund rules, and contact channels are controlled by each provider and may change at any time. Where our guides conflict with a provider’s official instructions, the provider’s official information governs.
6. Intellectual Property and Content Licence
Content on this site (guide text, friction scores, templates, graphics and code) is owned by us and protected by copyright. We grant you a limited, revocable licence to access and use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may: view, download or print individual guides for personal use; and quote or republish limited excerpts with attribution and a link back to unsubscribetool.com.
Without our prior written consent, you may not: scrape, mirror or systematically copy the site; resell, redistribute or present the content as your own product; or remove copyright and attribution notices. For commercial data licensing, see our data licensing page.
This does not restrict automated access that we expressly permit in our robots.txt (for example search indexing and the AI crawlers we allow).
Third-party trademarks and service names on this site remain the property of their respective owners (see section 5).

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us in connection with the claim giving rise to liability, or (b) USD $12.99.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of warranties or damages, so some of the above may not apply to you, in which case our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.
9. Changes to the Service; Termination
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service — including guides, scores, API endpoints, pricing, or availability of Cancellation Packs — at any time and without notice. If you have purchased a Cancellation Pack whose core content becomes unavailable through no fault of your own, you may request a refund under our Refund Policy.
You may stop using the service at any time. We reserve the right to block access to the site or API by anyone who abuses them (for example, automated scraping that degrades the service or attempts to bypass usage limits), subject to applicable law.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country (or, where applicable, the U.S. state) in which you have your habitual residence ("your home laws"), without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
If you are a consumer, you may bring any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service in the courts of your place of residence. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer-protection rights you hold under your home laws, including rights you may have to bring proceedings there.
Purchases of Cancellation Packs are processed by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record. The checkout terms presented by Lemon Squeezy at the time of purchase apply to the payment transaction itself, in addition to these Terms.
